About the Cast

In addition to composing the music and lyrics for Northern Star, Jared Alexander will play the part of the Young Man. His previous training includes a BM from Manhattan School of Music and an MA from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As a composer, Jared has had his music featured at 54 Below in Taylor Louderman’s first Write Out Loud concert alongside other up and coming writers in the industry. Jared is grateful for the opportunity to record and present his work alongside his collaborators and other talented artists.

Rhian Ferrigan is a neurodiverse actor and musician living and working professionally in Scotland. She has recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a masters in musical theatre performance. She has extensive experience singing professionally both through the UK and internationally. She has professional credits as a piano vocalist with with Norwegian Cruise Lines as well as performing as lead vocalist with well established music for Scotland function bands. Most recently she played Judas in RCS’ production of Godspell directed by Alexandra Spencer-Jones at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Feifei Xiang is a London based actor. She just graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the MA Musical Theatre Performance Progarmme. She did two musicals in this Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, one as swing in Godspell, one as Clarissa in Little Women.

She is proud and grateful to be the original cast for The Northern Star. The story moved her deeply and made her look forward to going on with it.

Lorna Baxter is a recent graduate of the MA Musical Theatre Performance course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her most recent work has been with RCS at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as Amy March in Little Women. Originally from the States, Lorna has loved adventuring across the pond to kick off her next journey in performing professionally. She is so honored to have been apart of this process and can’t wait to see where it goes.

Jared Alexander

Lyricist/Composer

Jared Alexander is an actor, composer and vocalist based in UK. Previous work includes West Side Story (Jet) at the Edinburgh International Festival with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the new musical Radioactive (Father) directed by Sammi Cannold and Little Women at the Edinburgh Fringe directed by Ken Alexander. His training includes a BM from Manhattan School of Music and an MA in Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As a composer, Jared has had his music featured at 54 Below in Taylor Louderman’s first Write Out Loud concert alongside other up and coming writers in the industry. He is also an accomplished guitarist and musician as well as an avid supporter of animal conservation.

Eoin Corcoran

Arranger/Orchestrator/Music Director

From an early age, Eoin was hauled by pram from rehearsal to rehearsal, so developing a passion for musical theatre was a natural development.

Eoin began his musical education as a Suzuki pianist under the tuition of Máire Ní Dhuibhir. From these humble 9-year old musical beginnings, Eoin has gone on to train as a professional Musical Director having studied on the MA in Musical Direction at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

During his training Eoin was Associate Musical Director on 9 to 5 and Merrily We Roll Along and Musical Director for Godspell which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022.

In 2022, Eoin worked as Assistant Musical Director on Evita with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and Irish Youth Musical Theatre, which was conducted by John Rigby.

Eoin’s wide range of skills include vocal coaching, choral direction, conducting, accompanying,  arranging and orchestration. Eoin’s Curriculum Vitae is available to view below and videos of his work are available on this website eoincorcoran.com.
